Baptism

The sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month (except during Lent) at 12:00 Noon in the church.  Parents and Godparents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Class on the Tuesday prior to the celebration of Baptism at 7:00 PM in St. Clement Church.

Godparents must obtain a “Sponsor Certificate” indicating they are Catholics in “good standing” with the Church.  To be in “good standing,” a Catholic must be confirmed, married by a Catholic priest or deacon (if married) and attending Mass weekly.  Please contact the Parish Office to register your child for Baptism.

First Communion

Preparation for First Communion is offered in Grade 2 through the Religious Education Program.  Attendance in Grade 1 is mandatory. Please contact Mrs. Cheryl Berube, Director of Religious Education, for more details.

First Penance

Preparation for First Penance (also called First Confession or First Reconciliation) is offered in Grade 2 through the Religious Education Program in tandem with First Communion.  First Penance is celebrated prior to First Communion and is a requirement for First Communion.  Please contact Mrs. Cheryl Berube, Director of Religious Education, for more details.

Confirmation

Preparation for Confirmation is offered through the Religious Education Program.  It is a two-year program beginning in Grade 9.  Please call Mrs. Cheryl Berube, Director of Religious Education, for more details.

Holy Orders

If you would like to serve God by preaching the Gospel, celebrating the Sacraments and serving those in need, you may have a vocation to the Priesthood.  Please contact any parish priest or visit the Office of Vocations website at www.catholicpriest.com.

Marriage

Engaged couples planning to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage must meet with the parish priest or deacon at least six months prior to the wedding date. Marriage Preparation Classes (Pre-Cana Classes) are required and must be completed three months prior to the wedding date.

Please review the SS. Rose & Clement Parish Wedding Preparation Booklet for all the guidelines for the celebration of a wedding at our parish. Click here to download the PDF booklet.

Confession

The sacrament of Confession (Reconciliation) is offered every Saturday from 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM and every Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM or anytime by appointment.

Anointing of the Sick

Please notify the parish priest if anyone is ill, elderly or in the hospital and in need of this sacrament.  Please note that due to HIPAA regulations, hospitals DO NOT notify the parish of your illness unless you specifically ask them to do so.
